Clean your car windows

Keeping the car’s windows clean is not only a matter of aesthetics and hygiene, it is also a safety measure since dirty and foggy can disrupt visibility. Like almost everything related to car cleaning, the task can be done domestic or made by a specialist company, in this case, a car wash.

To clean in the garage they are worthy of homemade tips, such as using water in abundance, water with kitchen detergent and water mixed with vinegar. The vinegar solution removes stains and dirt and also decreases, as does the kitchen detergent. In any case, it is recommended to use soft and damp cloths to avoid scratching the glass.

Still in the series of domestic solutions is the water with gas. Bubbles help in removing stains and speed up the cleaning process. The liquid alcohol or gel is also indicated to leave the glasses shining. The only detail is that this product cannot be used on film glazing because it can cause corrosion and be fogging. On cars with film, the orientation is only water and paper towel.

For those who do not like home-made solutions, there are dozens of products on the market. 3M, for example, has a complete line, which includes detergent, sponge and different types of glass cleaner. There are variations because they have a specific formulation to remove difficult dirt and grease, both on the outside and inside of the glass, explains the product manager of the company, Denis Barba.

“Every time you wash the vehicle, also rinse the windows. It is recommended to clean whenever the glasses appear dirty or impair the vision when driving in situations of rising sun or bridge, “says Barba, who suggests still dry with a soft cloth so that no water spots appear.

Experts on the subject say that the process of cleaning the glass is divided into external and internal. Externally the focus is on the waterproofing, the rain water has to slide, and it cannot get soaked. Already in the internal use, the power is decreasing, because of the sweat, of the own chemistry of the fabric and the hot and cold of the conditioned air.

On the market, there are products available that prevent internal haze. Experts recommend, however, that cleaning in such cases should be weekly because continuous use creates a protective film that prevents glass from sweating but at the same time forms a layer of fat.
